Key Stage 1
Starting your child’s education journey can be a daunting and confusing experience, let us help by equipping your child with the skills they require. We offer 1 hour sessions tailored to your child’s individual needs. Reading, Phonics, Spelling and Maths are all brought to life in a range of fun and engaging activities. All sessions include Parental feedback and Home learning activities.
Key Stage 2
As your child enters KS2 there will be high expectations from their school. Offering your child an environment where they can thrive and build confidence is key to their learning and indeed in preparation for upcoming testing. We can help by offering tailored sessions in Maths, English and Spelling. All sessions include Parental feedback and Home learning activities.
11 Plus
We offer separate classes for Year 4 and Year 5 pupils. Our year 4 sessions are designed to familiarise your child with the skills they will need to achieve their full potential in the Year 5 sessions. Year 4 sessions are especially effective for children struggling with Maths. Year 5 sessions focus on preparation for entrance exams such as Upton Hall, St Anselms, and Wirral Grammar Girls/Boys. Sessions focus on enhancing literacy and numeracy skills. All sessions include Parental Feedback and Home Learning activities.

I found Nikki by chance on the Internet as my daughter really wanted a female tutor. Nikki was local so I gave her a call and thought she was very personable on the phone. When my daughter first arrived, she was nervous but Nikki is very friendly and natural and put her at ease pretty quickly. Despite my daughter being shy, Nikki managed to bring her out of her shell and feel at ease. As the weeks went by I was extremely impressed by Nikki’s knowledge of Maths and English and she had a clever way of teaching and engaging with my daughter and making her feel relaxed. I also appreciated the time she spent feeding back at the end of each session. We were never rushed or moved on quickly. Nikki always had the time for us and made the experience very personal. That was the bit that made it so enjoyable. My daughter actually wanted to go! Nikki manages to get the balance of work and fun just right. So as the weeks rolled on, my daughters knowledge and understanding was building with high quality tutoring and with the homework specifically focused on what she needed to improve on, this really helped her target the right areas. The tutoring was tailored to exactly what my daughter needed to focus on and with lots of hints and tips for 11+ test experience. Nikki was flexible in her approach to sessions and even during the summer, Nikki ensured we had a pack of work to ensure the work continued in preparation for the 11+. When the test came around, Nikki was personally invested and she sent a lovely good luck card. We were delighted to tell Nikki that my daughter had passed 11+! It clearly meant the world to Nikki and we were all thrilled. We have had a very positive experience of tutoring and this is very much thanks to Nikki. I couldn’t recommend Nikki enough…. and we hope to return with my son who will enjoy being able to stroke Nikki’s dogs just as much as tutoring with Nikki haha.

I started taking my son to Nikki just to broaden what he was learning in school, I didn’t want him to be overlooked in a large class size. He is now learning towards his 11+. Nikki is so patient with him and takes the time to make sure he understands what he is learning and that he can ask questions if he doesn’t. He’s had his wobbles along the way but Nikki always helps to steady him. I recommend Nikki to anyone I know looking for a tutor.
